Actor Drew Barrymore has received criticism online for creating a TikTok video about the "black guys frolicking" craze.

Following the posting of a TikTok video of her dancing in the rain, Hollywood star Drew Barrymore has been charged with "racist." A TikToker criticized the actor for imitating a trend known as "black guys frolicking" not long after the American star released the video through her official social media account. Notably, black TikTok video makers introduced the fad in the early months of 2022.

The TikTok @amushroomblackly alleged in a comment on the video that Barrymore disrespected and discounted the limitations placed by black content creators.

The person made fun of the 47-year-old actor by claiming that the actress knew she could enjoy the rain and have fun without having to film it and upload it to the TikTok app for sharing short videos.

Additionally, the user stated that Drew Barrymore had co-signed individuals who went outside the rules to discredit black creators. The TikTok user @amushroomblackly found the video of the Hollywood star dancing in the rain offensive and urged her followers to do the same whenever the chance presents itself.

The actress is charged with stealing the fad, which was popularised by the TikTok user @thexsadxoptimistic after being created by them. In May 2022, the @thexsadxoptimistic Twitter user uploaded a video of himself racing around a field while claiming that he was "frolicking!"

Numerous users reproduced the film and added the hashtag #blackmenfrolicking after the video received a lot of views. Interestingly, nearly 600,000 people used the hashtag.
