Pilot threatens to ‘intentionally crash’ into Mississippi Walmart
According to the Tupelo Police Department, officers had "begun talking with the pilot directly."
Police in Tupelo, Mississippi, reported on Saturday that a pilot is threatening to "deliberately crash" into a Walmart.
In a press statement, the Tupelo Police Department stated that officers had "been able to start talking with the pilot immediately."
In addition, it stated that authorities had worked to "disperse as many people as possible" from the city centre store.
According to authorities, "the risk zone is considerably larger than even Tupelo with the mobility of an aeroplane of the type."
Tate Reeves, the governor of Mississippi, stated on Twitter that "state emergency managers and law enforcement are closely monitoring this perilous scenario."
